What is your name and title?
My name is Sam. I'm the current COO of Five Story Group of Companies.
Please give us an overview of your company.
Five Story Group, we're a holding company comprised of solutions and concepts that take clients and consumers further. So you might know us better as Hatch, Corporate Solutions, Bounce Communications, The Editor's Market, Beauty Chapter Incorporated, Hatch House, as well as Five Story Ventures.
How would you describe your team’s culture?
So Five Story, at least right at this very moment, we're around 112 employees. We have a pretty interesting demographic— most or I'd say 80% of our employees are around Gen Z to millennials, so a lot of 25 to early thirties.
What were you looking for in an HMO? What were the deciding factors?
We're seeing the trend now when people apply for companies. They don't only look at how much money they're getting, how big their salary is, but how holistic the package being offered to them is. We make sure that we partner with the right people, with the right benefit partners, and that's why we chose to partner with Hive Health.
They're able to offer a really holistic HMO package that doesn't only just cover your typical healthcare plans, but covers mental health as well and other perks, yoga classes, gym partnerships that our employees truly benefit from.
What feature of Hive Health have you found most valuable?
I work very closely with my HR manager, and she says the HR Dashboard has been so effective in being able to manage how the plans are being maximized by our employees.
We've worked with different health partners before, and we noticed that the plans weren’t fully utilized because we don't have the proper visibility on how much they're really able to maximize their plans. But with our HR Dashboard, Angela can easily tell which employees have actually activated their plans, who haven't yet, who have used the Annual Physical Exam benefit, who hasn't even touched it. So we actually have this Hive Health chat for all our employees that are part of our HMO package. And from time to time, Angela would ask who has availed of the Annual Physical Exam already, and then that would kind of generate engagement also and allow employees to really maximize the plan.
So prior to partnering with Hive Health, we were actually talking to different HMO partners. Hive Health actually wasn't the cheapest, but in terms of customer service, they were a lot more responsive. They were a lot more flexible also with what we wanted as a company, especially with this type of setting that we have. They really offer the package that has more value for money. So we thought in partnering with them, we'd really maximize the budget that we had allocated for HMO.
Would you recommend Hive Health to other businesses looking for HMO?
Hive Health has been such a good partner so we're looking forward to renewing with them next year. We're 6 out of 5 satisfied with the customer experience that we've had with them. And we're looking forward to even recommending them to our other clients, other partners, other suppliers as well.
